Council Services Manager (12-Month Contract)

About the role

Roper Gulf Regional Council is seeking an experienced, community-focused Council Services Manager to lead the delivery of Council services in Wugularr (Beswick), Northern Territory. This is a temporary, full-time position for 12 months. The manager manages the day-to-day operations of all Council services, including municipal services, community safety, aged care and disability services, youth and recreation services, administration services and contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the team through performance reviews and training plans
• Manage Council's financial and physical assets, including plant, equipment, buildings and vehicles
• Ensure services are delivered in line with statutory requirements, budgets and funding guidelines
• Organise and take part in Local Authority meetings
• Provide regular advice to the Operations Manager on Council's Strategic and Operational Plans
• Build strong working relationships with community members, external stakeholders and Council staff

Required profile

• Valid working with children card (Ochre Card)
• Current NT "C" and "LR" class driver's licence with manual driving capacity
• Completion of a national police check application form before employment starts
