Cost Controller

About the role

The Cost Controller will support Bouygues Construction Australia by analysing project costs, monitoring financial performance, and providing accurate cost information to management. This role ensures that cost, time, and scope targets are met throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Control activities related to cost, time and scope in line with contract requirements.
• Plan, forecast and monitor cost estimations.
• Track project milestones and ensure targets are achieved.
• Validate scope documents against contract and sales estimates.
• Prepare cost estimates and keep online cost forecasts up‑to‑date.
• Minimise cost deviations through rigorous control and forecasting.
• Manage subcontractor and supplier account costs.
• Produce periodic financial statements on project progress.
• Report risks, opportunities and potential deviations regularly.
• Provide supporting documentation for project reviews.

Required profile

• Degree in Management, Accounting or Finance.
• At least 5 years of experience in cost control or finance within a large construction or civil engineering environment.
• Advanced Excel and accounting skills.
• Methodical, organised and meticulous with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Technical knowledge of site construction techniques.
• Ability to recommend and implement efficiency initiatives.
