Cost Controller for Snowy 2.0 Infrastructure Project

About the role

The Cost Controller will support the Snowy 2.0 pumped‑hydro project by managing and analysing project costs to ensure optimal use of capital and labour resources. This role works closely with the project management and finance teams to keep the project on budget.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review the executive budget twice a year or after major changes.
• Analyse monthly variances between estimated and actual costs for personnel, inventory and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with the project management team to keep expenditures within the approved budget.
• Report cost performance and forecasts to the Finance Manager.
• Conduct gap analysis of cost‑control activities and audit site cost‑control procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering management or commerce.
• White Card certification.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in cost controlling or project estimating on large‑scale construction projects.
• Strong mathematical and analytical abilities with excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• STR Vision CPM.
• SAP.
• Microsoft Office suite (Word, Access, PowerPoint).
