Corporate Lawyer

About the role

This is a broad, hands‑on legal position working across iSelect and Compare the Market. You will partner with multiple business teams to provide practical legal and regulatory advice that supports growth while managing risk.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements across various business areas.
• Advise on regulatory compliance, consumer protection and broader commercial matters.
• Review marketing campaigns, website content and other customer‑facing collateral.
• Provide guidance on privacy, data and information security issues.
• Support major projects, commercial initiatives and significant expenditure.

Required profile

• At least four years’ post‑qualification experience, preferably from a mid or top‑tier private practice.
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to work autonomously and seek input on higher‑risk matters.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and confidence to engage with a broad stakeholder group.
• Curious, collaborative attitude and genuine interest in how the business operates.

Required skills

• Strong general commercial experience, especially contract drafting and negotiation.
• Experience advising on regulatory compliance and consumer protection laws.
