Cook – Part‑time (St Kilda)

About the role

Minor Hotels’ Oaks Melbourne on St Kilda Road is seeking an experienced Cook to join the kitchen team on a part‑time/casual basis. The role supports smooth kitchen operations, preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to high standards for an exceptional guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and assist with cooking and plating of meals.
• Cook a variety of dishes in line with menu standards and guest expectations.
• Ensure excellent presentation of meals before service.
• Maintain proper food storage, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and compliant with WHS requirements.
• Support team members to ensure smooth daily kitchen operations.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months experience as a cook or in a similar kitchen role.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Positive, proactive attitude and genuine passion for cooking.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
