Contracts and Commercial Specialist

About the role

SRG Global, a diversified industrial services company, is looking for a Contracts and Commercial Specialist based in Sydney, NSW. The role provides centralised contract and commercial support across its projects in a permanent, Monday to Friday position. You will work closely with Project and Operational Teams, identifying and managing commercial and contractual risk and guiding project teams so they can meet their financial and operational targets.

Key responsibilities

• Provide contract and commercial support to Project Managers, focusing on subcontract administration, compliance and risk management.
• Review and advise on subcontract terms, departures and contractual obligations before and after execution.
• Support procurement by helping with contract execution, coordination of securities and alignment with project delivery needs.
• Help set up project controls, including cost tracking and progress reports.
• Prepare and submit progress claims, variation notifications and other contractual notifications and responses.
• Liaise with legal, finance and operational teams for coordinated contract management.
• Assist the Divisional Manager with monthly project forecasts.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Surveying, Construction, Contracts, Law or similar (preferred).
• 5-10 years' experience in a similar role.
• Demonstrated understanding of AS, GC21 (desirable).
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, and ability to work with project teams and clients.
• Attention to detail, data accuracy, multitasking and prioritisation.

Required skills

• Strong computer software skills, including MS Excel.
• Experience with ERP software.
