Contract Administrator

About the role

LBA Construction Group is seeking a Contracts Administrator to support one of its project teams. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will manage the commercial aspects of construction projects, ensuring compliance, accurate documentation, and smooth subcontractor interactions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and process progress claims, variations, extensions of time (EOTs), notices of delay (NODs), and ensure SOPA compliance.
• Procure subcontractors by developing scopes, tender packages, and evaluating trade bids.
• Assess subcontractor payment claims, back charges, and retention amounts.
• Manage budgets, produce cost reports, forecast cash flow, and record accruals.
• Review subcontractor and supplier quotes, identify scope gaps, and vet assessments.
• Conduct project take‑offs, produce accurate measurements, and maintain procurement schedules.
• Control project documents, coordinate RFIs, and manage shop‑drawing submissions.
• Take meeting minutes and provide overall project administration support.

Required profile

• Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Contracts Administrator on construction projects.
• Strong understanding of head‑contract conditions, subcontract administration and SOPA.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with high attention to detail.
• Familiarity with construction industry standards and regulations is a plus.
