Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist

About the role

Northern Health, a major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne's outer north, is seeking applications for fixed-term and permanent positions for Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. The role joins the obstetrics and gynaecology team across its six main campuses.

Key responsibilities

• Provide obstetrics and gynaecology care in antenatal clinics, the birth suite, gynaecology clinics and elective surgery
• Contribute to the on-call after-hours roster
• Supervise junior medical staff
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team

Required profile

• Medical registration with the Medical Board of Australia under AHPRA, with no conditions or restrictions
• Specialist registration as an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist (FRANZCOG) or equivalent
• Demonstrated effective communication skills
