Consultant Anaesthetist

About the role

A client of JPS Medical is looking for a Consultant Anaesthetist to join a multidisciplinary team in Adelaide, delivering high-quality anaesthetic care. The role covers expert clinical services across a variety of surgical specialties, with a focus on patient safety and clinical excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical anaesthetic services across a range of surgical specialties.
• Act as a senior team member, contributing to the leadership of the team.
• Lead the supervision, training and education of junior medical staff, including doctors-in-training, Health Service Medical Practitioners and allied health professionals.

Required profile

• Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA).
• Obtained within six months of the fellowship.
• International Medical Graduates assessed by ANZCA as substantially comparable, with an ANZCA interview date confirmed.
• UK CCT via the expedited pathway.

The position is based at a 300+ bed acute care teaching hospital, about 10 minutes from Adelaide's CBD, which serves a community of over 250,000 people. Applications are made through the recruiter's application form.
