Construction Project Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Construction Project Manager to lead the end‑to‑end delivery of new Guzman y Gomez restaurant builds and refurbishments across Queensland. You will ensure projects are completed on time, to our brand standards and within budget, working closely with design, development and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all phases of new builds and major/minor refurbishments in Queensland.
• Deliver projects on schedule and in line with financial year commitments.
• Identify and resolve construction challenges to avoid delays.
• Control costs, monitor contractor expenses and implement cost‑saving measures while maintaining quality.
• Ensure construction complies with approved designs, specifications, landlord agreements and regulatory requirements.
• Act as primary liaison with contractors, landlords, suppliers and regulatory bodies.
• Collaborate with Design Managers to translate design plans into construction execution.
• Provide regular updates to internal leadership, finance and operations teams.
• Conduct site inspections and quality checks before handover.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture or related field.
• At least 3 years of post‑graduate experience in construction, project management or a built‑environment role.
• Experience with commercial, retail or hospitality fit‑out projects is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, site management, contractor coordination and budget control.
