About the role
Sherridon Homes, part of the Mirrastone Group, is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead its team of Site Managers across the Bendigo region. You will own construction performance, support your team, and ensure quality homes are delivered on time and within budget.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, support and develop a team of Site Managers throughout Bendigo.
- Oversee construction performance from start‑up to handover, managing programmes, timeframes and site allocations.
- Monitor revenue targets, forecasts, workloads and regional capacity.
- Ensure homes meet quality standards, budget constraints and OH&S, building regulation compliance.
- Conduct regular site inspections and resolve construction issues.
- Build and maintain relationships with trades, suppliers and internal departments.
- Control construction costs, variations and ETS performance.
- Collaborate with Operations, Sales, Customer Experience and other functions to improve the client journey.
- Manage escalated construction and customer matters professionally.
- Provide regular reporting on performance, risks and priorities.
Required profile
- Proven experience as a Construction Manager, Building Manager or senior Site Manager in residential construction.
- Strong knowledge of the Victorian residential building industry and processes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and hold a team accountable.
- Excellent planning, forecasting and problem‑solving skills.
- Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, build times and performance.
- Understanding of OH&S obligations, building regulations and quality standards.
- Established relationships within the Bendigo trade and supplier market (highly regarded).
- Confident client interaction and ability to resolve complex or escalated matters.
