Construction Estimator

About the role

Streamline Contracting is seeking a Construction Estimator to join its growing team in Rockingham, Western Australia. Reporting to the General Manager, you will prepare competitive tenders for a variety of civil and infrastructure projects while collaborating closely with operations, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for civil construction and building projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and contract documentation to ensure accuracy.
• Perform quantity take‑offs and obtain supplier/subcontractor quotations.
• Develop construction methodologies, pricing strategies, and identify project risks and commercial opportunities.
• Attend site inspections, pre‑tender meetings, and support contract negotiations when required.
• Assist business development activities and maintain estimating databases and cost libraries.

Required profile

• Proven experience estimating civil, infrastructure, or commercial construction projects.
• Strong understanding of Australian construction contracts and procurement methods.
• Excellent analytical, commercial, negotiation and communication abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Proactive attitude with a desire to continuously improve processes.
