Condition Monitoring Technician

About the role

Anglo American Steelmaking Coal is looking for an experienced Condition Monitoring Technician to join the Engineering and Maintenance team at Moranbah North Mine. This hands‑on reliability role focuses on monitoring surface and underground mining equipment, identifying developing defects and recommending maintenance actions to improve availability and reduce unplanned downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Complete condition monitoring inspections and collect accurate equipment data.
• Analyse vibration, oil and fluid results to identify developing equipment defects.
• Assess equipment health, provide practical repair advice and create SAP work notifications.
• Escalate critical conditions, support investigations and contribute to long‑term defect elimination.
• Maintain accurate equipment histories, monitoring records and asset health information.

Required profile

• Mechanical trade, engineering or relevant technical qualification.
• Previous experience in condition monitoring, predictive maintenance or equipment reliability.
• Ability to work effectively with tradespeople, planners, engineers and operational teams.
• Current Australian driver’s licence and ability to meet site medical requirements.
