About the role
HammondCare, an independent Christian charity providing the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme funded by the Australian Government, is looking for a community volunteer to spend time with an elderly gentleman living in Eleebana. He enjoys good company, meaningful conversation, a friendly game of chess and classic movies, and regular visits can help him feel less isolated.
Key responsibilities
- Visit the client at his home in Eleebana for 1-hour sessions, weekly or fortnightly.
- Play chess, chat and share stories, or watch a classic film together.
- Be available any day of the week between 9:00am and 5:00pm.
Required profile
- Aged 18 or older.
- National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare.
- Flexible availability within the 9am-5pm window; visits can be scheduled Monday to Sunday.
