Community Support Officer - Afterhours Operations

About the role

UniLodge is looking for a Community Support Officer to join its afterhours operations team in Canberra on a full-time basis. Residents' safety is a top priority, and the officer ensures the safety of residents and takes overall management responsibility of the building during overnight hours. The role suits someone who thrives in an after-hours setting and can work independently.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor building security and safety, perform perimeter checks and resolve issues or emergencies while on duty
• Handle administration such as maintaining records, processing payments, audits and reporting
• Manage incidents during night shift, including grievances and conflict resolution
• Act as a friendly, open point of contact for residents' assistance, information and welfare
• Respond to resident calls about noise or disturbances and lock-outs
• Attend required training and mandatory staff meetings

Required profile

• Availability to work a Monday to Sunday evening/overnight roster of 38 hours per week
• Willingness to work if the regular shift falls on a public holiday
• National Police Check completed within the last 3 months
• Working with Vulnerable People's Check
• Valid work rights in Australia
• First Aid and CPR certificate
