About the role
A casual Catering Assistant position at North Canberra Hospital in Canberra, run by Medirest (a Compass Group business). Shifts are Monday to Friday, either 7am-3pm or 4-8pm, with pay of $35.05 including casual loading, 12% superannuation and penalty rates where applicable.
Key responsibilities
- Basic food and meal preparation
- Assist with serving meals to patients throughout the hospital
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen and patient rooms
- Clear rubbish and food scraps to keep the work area clean
- Follow all Food and Safety procedures
Required profile
- Ability to work under pressure with a positive outlook and professional manner
- Team player who can also work autonomously, with a flexible attitude and good communication skills
- Serology clearances (or willingness to obtain the required vaccinations)
- National Police Clearance or Working With Vulnerable People Check (or willingness to obtain)
