Community Occupational Therapist - Melbourne

About the role

Alpha Allied Health is recruiting Occupational Therapists for a community-based role in Melbourne. The therapist provides home-based services to clients to improve their independence and quality of life, builds their own caseload and sets their own working hours. There are future growth opportunities to gain experience in residential aged care and private settings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide home-based assessments, modifications, equipment prescription, assistive technology prescription and therapeutic interventions to optimise client independence and quality of life.
• Deliver a high quality of care and professionalism with each service.
• Produce comprehensive written reports within required timeframes and maintain thorough client documentation.
• Work collaboratively with other allied health professionals and referring partners.
• Manage client and family feedback and take corrective action so services stay responsive to client needs.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and current AHPRA registration.
• Demonstrated skills and experience, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Full working rights in Australia; national police check with no disclosable outcomes (or willingness to obtain one).
• Current unrestricted Australian driver's licence and a reliable, insured vehicle.
• Current professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
