Community Engagement Lead

About the role

We are seeking a Community Engagement Lead to design and deliver inclusive, best‑practice engagement initiatives across Australia. Based in either Melbourne or Sydney, you will work within a supportive Audience Insights & Engagement team, collaborating with senior practitioners to ensure community voices are heard authentically.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive relationships with community stakeholders, organisations and networks.
• Plan, coordinate and deliver community engagement activities such as consultations, focus groups, workshops, case studies and events.
• Recruit participants, manage logistics, and maintain accurate CRM records and participant databases.
• Facilitate community discussions, ensuring activities are culturally responsive and inclusive.
• Support project teams with stakeholder insights, reporting, evaluation and business development tasks.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience in community engagement, stakeholder engagement, communications or a related field.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a genuine interest in building trust‑based relationships.
• Comfortable working both in the field and behind the scenes.
