Community Care Domestic Services / Cleaning (Part-time and Casual)

About the role

Banksia, a single-site NFP aged care provider in Broulee, NSW, is looking for experienced domestic services and cleaners for its Community Care team. The role delivers high-quality domestic services to clients in their own homes, with part-time and casual positions available. It sits at Home Care Employee Level 1 and reports to the Community Care Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to clients in their own homes, including domestic duties, meal preparation, transportation and shopping.
• Clean the home, make beds and wash, fold and iron clothes.
• Prepare meals and undertake shopping on behalf of clients.
• Record client care plan information, observations, notes and incidents, and report key events and changes to the manager.
• Maintain friendly, supportive relationships with clients, families and representatives, and respond to enquiries.
• Work independently and as part of a team, and carry out other duties as requested.

Required profile

• Current drivers licence and own transport.
• Current First Aid certificate.
• Current NSW Working with Children Check and willingness to obtain a National Police check.
• Desire to work in the aged care industry; 6 months of aged care experience desired.
• Physical ability to perform the inherent duties of the role, and vaccination against communicable diseases as per the NSW schedule.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to adapt to sector-specific software.
• High-level communication skills and ability to provide friendly, supportive customer service.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
