Community and Stakeholder Manager

About the role

ACEREZ is seeking a Community and Stakeholder Manager to join its Maintenance & Lifecycle team for the Central‑West Orana Renewable Energy Zone. Based in Mudgee, you will lead engagement with landholders, government bodies, industry partners and the wider community, ensuring strong relationships and protecting the organisation’s reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver project plans for operational activities.
• Build and maintain relationships with the Network Operator, landholders, government agencies, industry partners and the community, acting as the primary point of contact.
• Represent ACEREZ at community forums, briefings and consultation events.
• Manage access approvals, statutory notifications, business reporting and engagement records in line with contractual requirements.
• Oversee landowner first‑response contacts, complaints, enquiries and call‑line channels.
• Monitor community sentiment, flag emerging issues and devise mitigation strategies and key messages.
• Lead community investment, sponsorship activities and delivery of education programmes.
• Contribute content for digital, print and social channels, including newsletters and community updates.

Required profile

• Degree in Public Relations, Planning, Management or a related field (desirable).
• Significant experience in stakeholder and community engagement on construction or operations of infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to manage sensitive issues and competing stakeholder interests in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and judgement skills.
• Excellent verbal communication, including in challenging settings.
• Full NSW driver’s licence.

• Clear, confident communication and cultural awareness.
