Communications Officer with Graphic Design Focus

About the role

This six‑month AO4 contract combines communications, graphic design and stakeholder engagement within a busy regional environment on the Gold Coast. You will create clear, engaging and accessible materials to support stakeholder communication across the South Coast region.

Key responsibilities

• Produce professional communication assets such as maps, flyers, fact sheets, newsletters, infographics, reports and presentations.
• Maintain consistent visual standards and apply contemporary design principles to ensure accessibility.
• Coordinate external suppliers for design services and manage communication collateral, records and databases.
• Support stakeholder engagement activities and manage competing deadlines across a high‑volume regional workload.

Required profile

• Experience creating communication and visual design materials.
• Strong graphic design capability using relevant design software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent).

What we offer
