Communications Coordinator

About the role

The Property Council of Australia is seeking a Communications Coordinator to create and manage clear, engaging content for its members, teams and industry stakeholders. You will work within a high‑performing Communications, Media and Marketing team to support advocacy, member, internal and digital channels.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, edit and coordinate content for newsletters, EDMs, website updates, social media posts and internal communications.
• Maintain content calendars, manage approvals, schedule releases and track campaign timelines.
• Collaborate with business units to gather information, ensure accuracy and keep communications flowing.
• Proofread and quality‑check all material to align with brand standards.
• Track basic engagement metrics and assist with reporting on communications activity.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in communications, marketing, media, content creation or stakeholder engagement.
• Strong writing, editing and proofreading abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt content for diverse audiences and manage multiple priorities.
• Collaborative, proactive and service‑focused mindset.
• Tertiary qualification in communications, media, marketing, journalism or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Required skills

• Experience with web, email and CRM platforms.
• Proficiency in managing social media and digital publishing tools.
