Communication Adviser

About the role

Join a busy, supportive communications team within one of NSW's largest health districts. As a Communication Adviser you will work across media, digital, internal communications and major projects, delivering high‑quality content in a fast‑moving environment.

Key responsibilities

• Write and edit media releases, executive messages, digital and social content.
• Pitch good‑news stories and develop compelling campaign material.
• Support issue management and provide strategic communications advice on complex or sensitive matters.
• Collaborate with senior clinical and executive stakeholders to shape district‑wide communications.
• Identify and develop story ideas, ensuring alignment with audience needs and channel requirements.

Required profile

• Experienced communications professional with strong relationship‑building skills.
• Excellent written communication and storytelling ability.
• Calm under pressure, solutions‑focused and able to manage confidential information.
• Proactive, collaborative mindset with initiative.

Required skills

• Outstanding writing and editing skills across multiple platforms.
• Experience in media relations and issue management.
• Ability to produce content for digital, social and internal channels.
