Common Area Cleaner – Weekend Shifts

About the role

Oaks Hervey Bay Resort and Spa is expanding its housekeeping department and is offering part-time weekend shifts for Common Area Cleaners. The role covers cleaning and maintaining shared guest areas throughout the property, keeping them hygienic and visually appealing. Shifts run between 7:30am and 3:30pm on Saturday and Sunday, with the possibility of picking up weekday shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all common guest areas to the highest standards, keeping them hygienic and visually appealing.
• Work with team members to meet daily cleaning targets and operational goals.
• Follow safety protocols and environmental standards.
• Use specialised cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively, with training and tools provided.
• Build professional relationships with team members and guests to foster a positive, respectful environment.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a resort or hotel environment is highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good physical fitness and stamina, able to bend, lift and stand for long periods.
• Clear communication skills with guests, team members and contractors.
• Time management skills and a proactive, hard-working attitude.
• Availability for flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
• Working rights in Australia or New Zealand only.
