Commis Chef – Full‑time Kitchen Role

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Permanent Commis Chef to join the team at Stoney's Club in Bacchus Marsh. You will work in a fast‑paced, hands‑on kitchen environment supporting senior chefs and delivering high‑quality dishes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items to high‑quality standards.
• Support senior chefs with prep, plating and service during busy periods.
• Maintain food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Run your section during service, keeping the pass moving efficiently.
• Keep your station clean, organised and ready for the next wave of tickets.

Required profile

• Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent real‑world experience).
• Food Allergens and Food Safety Certificate.
• Experience in a busy pub, bistro or high‑volume kitchen.
• Solid understanding of basic cooking methods and recipe execution.
• Willingness to work a rotating roster including nights, weekends and public holidays.
