Commercial Manager

About the role

The Commercial Manager will provide complex commercial advice, contract management and procurement outcomes for Amentum’s ANI Capability Partner. Working within an integrated, multidisciplinary team, the role ensures value‑for‑money outcomes and compliance with Commonwealth legislative and policy requirements for high‑value government acquisitions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide commercial support and strategic advice across multi‑disciplinary meetings.
• Develop, review and evaluate contracts, Defence approval documents and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) items.
• Draft, review and progress correspondence, briefs, reports and contract change proposals.
• Monitor contractor compliance with contractual, legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks.
• Identify commercial and enterprise risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Assist with procurement planning and execution to achieve best commercial outcomes.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience with high‑value government acquisitions and complex commercial documentation.
• Strong understanding of Commonwealth legislative and policy requirements.
• Ability to work collaboratively within an integrated, multidisciplinary environment.
• Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
