Commercial Lawyer

About the role

BlueRock Law, a commercial law practice within a multidisciplinary advisory firm, is looking for a Commercial Lawyer with around 2-4 years' post-qualification experience. The lawyer will advise clients on practical commercial decisions and work closely with accountants, finance brokers and financial planners. The workplace is on site in Melbourne's CBD.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and advise on shareholder agreements and other commercial agreements
• Work on commercial leases, business and asset sales and general commercial transactions
• Negotiate contracts and advise clients on commercial risks and options
• Manage matters from initial advice through to completion
• Prepare clear, practical advice, correspondence and legal documents
• Build client relationships and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Required profile

• 2-4 years' post-qualification experience in commercial law
• Experience with shareholder agreements, leases, business or asset sales and contract negotiation
• A practical, client-focused approach and the confidence to manage matters
• Good attention to detail and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines

Required skills

• Strong drafting, research and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and build a commercial practice
