Property & Development Law Clerk

About the role

A Melbourne-based law firm is looking for an experienced Property & Development Law Clerk to join its team of Property Law Clerks. You will work closely with Partners and lawyers and provide commercial property law clerk services. The firm is described as long-standing, valued by its clients and offering a positive team culture and work/life balance.

Key responsibilities

• Support the acquisition and sale of commercial and residential properties
• Support property development work, including off-the-plan and high-rise apartments
• Handle conveyancing, leasing, stamp duty and settlements
• Record and bill time for chargeable matters
• Manage and undertake PEXA-related tasks
• Manage files and general administration

Required profile

• At least five years of previous experience in a similar role within a law firm
• Experience in development, including off-the-plan, residential, commercial and apartments
• Excellent communication skills and a strong client-service focus
• Ability to multitask and manage differing priorities

Required skills

• Experience with PEXA
• Solid writing and drafting skills
• Excellent attention to detail
