Commercial Finance Analyst

About the role

Goodman Fielder is looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join its growing Food Ingredients portfolio. You will partner with Sales, Marketing and Category teams to turn financial data into actionable insights and better business decisions. The role reports to the Senior Commercial Finance Manager and offers a 12-month fixed-term contract with the potential to become permanent.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Sales, Marketing and Category teams to identify growth opportunities and improve profitability.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, Strategic Planning and S&OP processes.
• Deliver month-end reporting and analyse pricing, volume, margins and business performance.
• Develop financial models and business cases for new products, pricing and commercial investments.
• Analyse promotional performance, trade spend and product profitability.
• Translate complex financial data into clear insights and practical recommendations.
• Build strong relationships across Finance, Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain.

Required profile

• Experience in commercial finance, financial analysis or finance business partnering.
• A relevant degree in Commerce, Finance or a related discipline.
• CA/CPA qualification or progress towards it is highly regarded.
• FMCG, manufacturing or retail experience is advantageous.

Required skills

• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
• Confidence communicating insights and influencing stakeholders.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills; SAP, BW or BI reporting experience is advantageous.
