Commercial Analyst (WFH 4 Days) - $100k + Super + Bonus

About the role

A well-established, growing organisation is hiring a Commercial Analyst (also described as a Management Accountant) to develop commercial skills through a mix of financial analysis, month-end reporting, commercial projects and governance. The role suits someone who enjoys analysing data and understands the drivers behind the numbers.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare month-end and quarter-end reporting, including financial analysis and commentary
• Analyse financial and operational data, investigate variances and identify key performance drivers
• Support commercial modelling, pricing calculations and analytical projects
• Maintain accurate commercial data, reporting frameworks and governance registers
• Resolve data discrepancies so reporting and invoicing remain accurate
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to resolve queries and support commercial outcomes
• Improve reporting processes, internal controls and operational efficiencies
• Support ongoing commercial projects and business expansion initiatives

Required profile

• Commercially minded finance professional with strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a proactive approach
• CA/CPA qualification or working towards it is highly regarded but not essential
• Experience as a Management Accountant, Finance Analyst or Commercial Analyst
• Currently based in Australia with full working rights, able to attend the office once a week; overseas applicants cannot be considered

Required skills

• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, SUMIFs and VLOOKUPs
• Month-end reporting, financial analysis and variance analysis
• Ability to interpret financial information, investigate discrepancies and communicate insights
