Commercial Analyst - GPC Asia Pacific

About the role

Genuine Parts Company (GPC) is looking for a Commercial Analyst to join its finance team in the national support office in Rowville. The role covers commercial reporting and insights for the team, identifying opportunities for financial improvement and helping key stakeholders report so that business initiatives deliver the expected financial outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, further develop and analyse a suite of commercial reports
• Drive insight-led decision making across sales and promotional growth initiatives
• Act as a key business lead for data warehouse information usage
• Contribute to the annual budget setting process
• Prepare presentation reports for key stakeholders
• Make business improvement recommendations with analytical support

Required profile

• Experience in a Commercial or Business Analyst type role; large multi-site sales environment experience highly regarded
• Tertiary qualification in Finance or similar
• Consultative, proactive and commercially astute, able to work in a team
• Ability to influence decision making, engage stakeholders and initiate business improvement ideas
• Planned approach, strong organisational skills and self-motivation
• Financial accounting experience (CPA / CA highly regarded)

Required skills

• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• IT literacy and advanced Microsoft skills, specifically Excel
• Data warehouse tools; Cognos experience preferable
