ColdFusion Developer – 12 month contract

About the role

We are looking for an experienced ColdFusion Developer to join a multidisciplinary delivery team delivering enterprise web‑based applications. The role is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract (with two optional 12‑month extensions) and works in an Agile or iterative environment, collaborating with technical and business stakeholders across Queensland, ACT, Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance and maintain ColdFusion‑based web applications.
• Undertake application analysis and contribute to solution design.
• Build, test, fix defects and support assigned system components.
• Write and maintain technical and support documentation.
• Provide development effort estimates for enhancements and change requests.
• Collaborate with developers, testers and business stakeholders.
• Participate in knowledge sharing and team capability uplift.
• Provide weekly status reports and complete weekly timesheets.
• Offer ad‑hoc assistance across the section as required.
• Ensure effective knowledge and skills transfer to support ongoing operations.

Required profile

• 5+ years developing and maintaining complex web‑based applications using Adobe ColdFusion, JavaScript and SQL.
• Hands‑on experience with recent ColdFusion versions, including ColdFusion 2021 and 2023.
• Strong experience with Oracle 19c, PL/SQL, stored procedures, packages and functions.
• Proven experience across the full system development lifecycle (analysis, design, development, support and maintenance).
• Experience working effectively in Agile or iterative delivery teams.
• Experience using the ColdBox framework.
