About the role
A family-run, market-leading stonemasonry business in Truganina, Melbourne, is looking for a CNC bridge saw operator. You will run the GMM bridge saw, operating it manually and writing its programs, to cut premium natural stone for residential and commercial projects across Victoria.
Key responsibilities
- Operate the GMM bridge saw manually for cutting jobs
- Write, load and adjust cutting programs for each job
- Cut natural stone accurately to drawings and cutting lists
- Select tooling and set parameters for each material
- Quality-check cut pieces before they go to fabrication
- Carry out routine machine maintenance
- Follow silica-safety and OH&S procedures
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years' CNC bridge saw experience in stone
- GMM experience, including manual operation and programming
- Natural stone, porcelain and sintered stone experience
- Confident reading drawings and cutting lists
- Strong attention to detail, reliability and safety consciousness
