Cloud Engineer

About the role

Join MEGT’s IT Operations team to design, implement and maintain secure, reliable solutions across Azure and Microsoft 365. You will balance technical projects, such as integrating newly acquired businesses, with day‑to‑day service stability.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and support Azure cloud, Microsoft 365, security and infrastructure services.
• Deliver infrastructure projects, cloud migrations and business integrations.
• Manage networking, identity, access and supporting on‑premises infrastructure.
• Monitor and optimise cloud performance, resource usage and costs.
• Automate tasks using PowerShell to improve operations.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide guidance to colleagues and business teams.
• Prepare and present infrastructure changes through the Change Advisory Board.
• Collaborate with IT colleagues, business teams and vendors to deliver practical solutions.

Required profile

• Customer‑focused, proactive and able to take ownership of work.
• Enjoys sharing knowledge and building strong relationships across the business.
• Experience in cloud and infrastructure engineering within a medium or large organisation.
• Ability to deliver technical projects from planning through to completion.
• Clear communication skills and ability to work with varied stakeholders.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365.
• Knowledge of Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
• Sound understanding of Windows Server, enterprise networking and identity management.
• Practical PowerShell scripting skills.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks, vulnerability management and ISO 27001 compliance.
