Cloud Azure DevOps Consultant

About the role

This role is for consultants who turn sustainable cloud concepts into reality, working with a portfolio management team to maximise the value of cloud technology. You will support clients by helping them design and implement sophisticated cloud-hosted solutions, bridging technical teams and business users and explaining complex cloud information to non-technical audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and support the build and release of DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Craft and implement innovative Azure cloud solutions with Microsoft technologies for clients.
• Assist in defining technological standards in Azure environments and take part in the full project cycle, from requirements analysis to design, build, test and operational documentation.
• Design, implement and support Azure solutions that meet customers' technical, security and business needs, and assess the feasibility of moving to Azure.
• Carry out professional and technical reviews so clients get the best solution for their needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, MIS, IT or a related field, or 5+ years of IT experience.
• Experience interacting with clients from diverse backgrounds and working with teams on projects.
• Solid experience presenting complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders, with solid written and spoken English.
• Australian citizenship and willingness to obtain security clearance; the role is open to Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Canberra, with interstate travel if needed.

Required skills

• CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code (Azure DevOps or GitHub).
• Azure Automation, Azure CLI, PowerShell, Terraform and Bicep.
• Azure IaaS and PaaS, Azure Monitor / Log Analytics, Azure Site Recovery, Azure Backup and Scale Sets.
• Azure networking (Hub-Spoke), Kubernetes, ExpressRoute, VPN gateways, NextGen firewalls, Active Directory, Entra ID, RBAC and MFA.
• Preferred: Azure Administrator Associate certification, or Azure Solutions Architect within 1 year of hire.
