Clinical Support Nurse - Emergency Department

About the role

Bayside Health is recruiting a Clinical Support Nurse (RN28 classification) for its Emergency Department at Peninsula University Hospital in Frankston, Victoria. This is a fixed-term part-time position of 48 hours per fortnight, running until 19 December 2027. The nurse guides and teaches nurses to develop high-quality clinical skills, working within their scope of practice and in line with evidence-based practice, hospital policy and guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Provide guidance and teaching to nurses to build high-quality clinical skills.
• Deliver and facilitate education while supporting all levels of staff across the dedicated area.
• Work closely with Clinical Educators, the Learning Hub and Nurse Unit Managers so learners receive a supported, quality learning experience focused on risk mitigation and staff development from novice to expert.
• Reinforce theoretical education and help learners develop the skills, attitudes and knowledge needed for specialty practice.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with current, condition-free AHPRA registration.
• Extensive experience in emergency care.
• Postgraduate qualification in Emergency Nursing or Critical Care studies.
• Prior experience teaching or supporting learners.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or working towards it (desirable).
• Postgraduate education qualification or working towards it (desirable).
