Clinical Nurse – Prison Healthcare

About the role
The Department of Justice is seeking a Clinical Nurse to join the Health Services team at Casuarina Prison. You will provide primary healthcare and emergency response to adult males in custody, working within a multidisciplinary environment that values safety, rehabilitation and health promotion.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver culturally safe primary health care and emergency medical services to prisoners.
- Coordinate care, disease prevention, and health promotion activities.
- Maintain focus on departmental goals of safety, security and rehabilitation.
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve best practice outcomes.
Required profile
- Australian citizen or permanent resident.
- Registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Motivated, experienced healthcare professional able to work autonomously.
- Commitment to integrity, respect and effective communication.
