Clinical Nurse - Perioperative (Plastics)

About the role

Calvary Adelaide Hospital is recruiting a permanent full-time Clinical Nurse (Plastics) to provide clinical expertise and leadership in perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing plastic procedures. The role supports best practice, patient safety, staff development and continuous quality improvement within the perioperative department.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care
• Provide support and direction to registered, enrolled, graduate and student nurses, AINs and HSAs
• Assist in the professional development of staff and maintain an education and development focus
• Support a positive professional culture
• Manage an agreed portfolio

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of postgraduate experience in plastics perioperative nursing
• Recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting
• AHPRA registration
• Ability to work unsupervised, efficiently and organised during periods of high demand
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
• Demonstrated communication, interpersonal and customer service skills

Required skills

• Works in accordance with ACORN Standards
• Evidence of immunisation as required for the role
