Clinical Nurse – Endoscopy (Admissions/Recovery)

About the role

As a Clinical Nurse in the Endoscopy Department you will provide the highest standard of patient care, act as a clinical resource and manage resources to deliver quality outcomes. You will ensure postoperative care, monitor recovery, assess clinical progress, manage complications and facilitate discharge.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise nursing practice and ensure standards of care.
• Act as a clinical resource, maintain and develop clinical skills.
• Initiate review and coordinate care for patients with complex health problems.
• Serve as patient advocate, protecting rights and safety.
• Evaluate nursing practice quality and participate in improvement initiatives.
• Ensure correct use and care of hospital equipment.
• Contribute to development of clinical policies and procedures.
• Ensure documentation meets standards and legal requirements.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Post‑registration experience in Endoscopy.
• Strong leadership capability and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Excellent communication, conflict resolution, negotiation and problem‑solving skills.
