Clinical Manager - Residential Aged Care

About the role

St Vincent's Care Services Kew, a 122-bed residential aged care home in Kew, Victoria, is recruiting a Clinical Manager. This permanent full-time position reports to the Residential Care Services Manager and focuses on mentoring and leading nursing and care staff so that residents receive exceptional, person-centred care. The role fosters a safe, supportive workplace and promotes professional accountability, compassion, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee safe, high-quality, evidence-based, person-centred clinical care, including dementia care, behaviour support, medication safety and infection control
• Strengthen clinical governance, quality assurance, risk management and regulatory compliance, including adherence to the Aged Care Act 2024 and the Aged Care Quality Standards
• Monitor clinical performance, resident outcomes, incidents and quality indicators to drive sustainable clinical improvements
• Coach, mentor and support nursing and care teams, and build relationships with residents, families, representatives and multidisciplinary health professionals

Required profile

• AHPRA-registered nurse
• Demonstrated clinical leadership or management experience in residential aged care, ideally at least three years in a comparable role
• Strong understanding of the Aged Care Act 2024, the Aged Care Quality Standards and current regulatory requirements

• Digital literacy in electronic clinical systems
