Client Outcome Facilitator (Casual)

About the role

The St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland, including Vinnies Housing and its retail stores, is hiring a Client Outcome Facilitator for its Alcohol and other drugs service in Cairns. The role covers case management, advocacy and support for clients in a 24-hour residential facility offering a 12-week structured rehabilitation program. It is a casual position requiring flexibility across days, afternoons, nights and weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver case management focused on client needs and promoting their capacity for independence
• Connect clients with relevant support services to address related issues such as family and other relationships, and emotional and physical health
• Provide holistic support throughout the client journey
• Advocate on behalf of clients while keeping client information confidential

Required profile

• Minimum Certificate III in Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD)
• Previous experience as a Support Worker or equivalent in the program area
• Knowledge of and ability to work within relevant legislation and guidelines for case management, safety and risk
• Valid driver's licence; COVID-19 vaccination status is recommended but not mandatory
• Appropriate visa to work in Australia/New Zealand

• Hourly rate of $36.58 plus 25% casual loading
