Client Director

About the role

dentsu is looking for a Client Director in Sydney to manage day-to-day senior client relationships and overall team performance, with deep familiarity in rolling out integrated media responses across a diverse range of categories, including regulated verticals. The role leads dedicated client teams and works closely with the Client Lead.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership for dedicated client teams and manage multiple direct reports, working with the Client Lead on their development and progression
• Deliver end-to-end media strategy, channel planning, media ideation and best-practice implementation with the Client Lead
• Develop comprehensive media responses with the right channel mix and budget allocation
• Work closely with media partners, especially those with major partnerships with the client
• Maintain an intimate understanding of client categories, support the lead with forecasting media billings and oversee monthly invoicing
• Identify and contribute to organic revenue growth opportunities

Required profile

• Comprehensive understanding of the Australian media marketplace
• Deep agency experience focused on planning, key account management and best-practice implementation
• Proven ability to manage multiple direct reports and client stakeholders as a trusted advisor
• Experience in a fast-paced environment handling major brief responses and reactive client requests
• Familiarity with collaboration between in-house and agency teams delivering integrated media responses

Required skills

• Channel selection, role of channel, budget phasing, block plan and high-level budget bearing
• Media planning and key account management
