About the role

The school is seeking a qualified Class Teacher for Year 1 to join its Catholic education community, working with English as an Additional Language (EAL) learners.

Key responsibilities

Plan and deliver contemporary pedagogy with high expectations, encouraging reflection and personal goal setting.
Build positive relationships with students, families, and the wider community, fostering a supportive learning environment.
Identify and respond to individual student needs through personalised learning tasks and well‑being strategies.

Required profile

Strong commitment to the values and ethos of Catholic education.
Understanding of child safety obligations and ability to maintain a safe environment.
Ability to collaborate effectively within teaching teams and engage families.

Required skills

VIT registration.
Relevant teaching qualification.
Experience working with EAL learners (advantage).
