Claims Technical Learning Consultant

About the role

Zurich is looking for an experienced Life Claims professional to join the Talent and People Development team as a Claims Technical Learning Consultant. You will blend deep claims expertise with learning design to help new and existing claims staff build confidence and technical capability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technical onboarding experience for new Life Claims professionals, ensuring they are ready from day one.
• Facilitate workshops, coaching sessions and practical learning experiences that translate claims concepts into actionable knowledge.
• Partner with Claims leaders and specialists to identify capability gaps and develop targeted learning solutions.
• Use insights from quality reviews, audits and customer outcomes to continuously improve technical capability across the team.
• Create and maintain learning resources that simplify complex policy, product and claims concepts.

Required profile

• Experience assessing retail life and/or group life insurance claims.
• Strong technical claims knowledge, including policy interpretation and decision making.
• Proven experience coaching, mentoring or developing colleagues within a claims environment.
• Excellent facilitation, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to analyse trends or insights and identify opportunities to improve capability outcomes.
• Confidence using digital tools and technology to support learning initiatives.
