Civil/Stormwater Engineer

About the role

Structability, a niche engineering and building design firm in Southern Sydney, is looking for an experienced Civil/Stormwater Engineer. The role is autonomous and involves designing and drafting your own civil and stormwater projects, with the mentorship of senior engineers. It suits a degree-qualified Civil Engineer with a consultancy background.

Key responsibilities

• Design and draft civil projects autonomously, with mentorship from senior engineers.
• Prepare calculation reports and Excel spreadsheets for stormwater systems, including detention tanks, infiltration pits, eaves gutters, box gutters, pits and pump-out systems.
• Perform civil design drafting using AutoCAD.
• Carry out site inspections and design and issue design rectification reports.
• Assist the team with the analytical aspects of projects.
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail in all technical work.

Required profile

• Degree-qualified Civil Engineer with at least 1 year of experience in a consulting engineering firm.
• Experience in civil design and stormwater analysis and modelling of residential and industrial buildings and civil structures; civil/stormwater design experience highly regarded.
• Knowledge of Australian Standards and the BCA.
• Local experience and residential experience preferred.
• Ability to travel interstate as required.
