Civil & Roads Inspector - Infrastructure

About the role

Turner & Townsend's Infrastructure team is looking for a Roads Inspector for a 6+ month opportunity on civil projects in Brisbane (Ipswich). The role can be filled as either a contractor or a casual employee. It involves site surveillance of civil works such as roads, with a site presence most days of the week, balancing time between the site and working from home or from the offices of Turner & Townsend or its client.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake site surveillance activities for civil projects (roads and similar)
• Protect the position of the Superintendent in all contractual matters
• Deliver a positive project outcome for the client
• Represent Turner & Townsend positively so that additional roles can grow within the program and for other clients in the portfolio

Required profile

• At least 5 years in a Site Management / Inspection role on large civil infrastructure projects
• Experience as an inspector on contracts including AS2124, AS4300 and Minor Works
• Experience as an inspector on large civil projects
• Proven on-site contractor management experience
• Experience across various stages of the project lifecycle
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Self-motivated team player able to adapt to change and competing demands

Required skills

• Detailed technical understanding of civil asset types (roads, etc.)
• Strong collaboration and client management skills
