Civil Road Maintenance Labourers

About the role

Protech is seeking motivated and reliable Civil Labourers for ongoing projects across North Queensland, regional Queensland and remote locations. The roles cover road maintenance, asphalt, spray seal, civil construction and infrastructure work, and suit people who enjoy hands-on outdoor work, work well in a team and are willing to travel. Start date is ASAP.

Key responsibilities

• General civil and construction labouring
• Road maintenance and rehabilitation works
• Asphalt and spray seal labouring
• Concrete, drainage and culvert works
• Vegetation control and roadside maintenance
• Installation and maintenance of roadside assets
• Manual handling and use of hand and power tools
• Site housekeeping and safety duties
• Emergency response and repair works

Required profile

• Current driver licence
• Construction white card
• Ability to perform physically demanding work and work away from home when required
• Availability for day and night shifts
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen
• Willingness to attend the Protech office for onboarding and compliance

Required skills

• Highly regarded MR licence or higher
• Previous civil, construction, road maintenance, asphalt or labouring experience
• Traffic management tickets
• Plant operating experience
• Trade background or related industry experience
• Additional tickets and licences
