Civil Project Manager

About the role

Rokon, a prominent Victorian civil contractor with over 25 years' experience, is looking for a skilled and driven Project Manager to join its Engineering team. The team provides engineering and project management expertise in the planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting of projects. The role reports to the General Manager of Construction and covers projects across Melbourne.

Key responsibilities

• Manage contracts and technical engineering specifications for each project.
• Manage stakeholder groups including subcontractors, councils and relevant authorities.
• Develop project schedules, budgets, purchase orders, quotes, contract variations and other plans.
• Take part in contract and tender review processes with the Senior Estimator.
• Review projects while active and after completion with internal and external stakeholders to identify improvements.
• Build client relationships and prioritise client satisfaction.
• Delegate tasks to engineers and guide, lead, coach and advise Graduate, Site and Project Engineers.
• Ensure quality and HSE requirements are documented and communicated.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• At least 5 years of engineering experience in civil construction, with subdivision exposure.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and to estimate from first principles.
• Full Australian working rights; OH&S induction white card and a current Victorian driver's licence are essential.

• MS Office, including MS Project and Excel.
• Advanced analytical skills and strong communication, negotiation and leadership skills.
• Time management, organisation and self-motivation.
