Civil Engineer - Stormwater

About the role

Ivory Group, a civil engineering consultancy based in Sydney, NSW, is looking for a skilled and motivated Civil Engineer. The role covers a range of projects, from residential developments to large-scale commercial, educational and aged care initiatives, with a focus on stormwater management and compliance with environmental regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and model stormwater drainage systems using industry-standard software
• Develop plans and specifications for drainage systems, detention and retention basins and other stormwater control features
• Work with councils, construction teams and other stakeholders to coordinate stormwater management projects
• Ensure compliance with relevant stormwater management standards
• Monitor and inspect stormwater facilities to ensure they function properly and comply with regulations
• Contribute to designs for pavements, site grading and bulk earthworks

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Proven experience in stormwater engineering in the Australian market
• Strong understanding of Australian stormwater regulations and standards
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Required skills

• Stormwater software such as DRAINS, MUSIC, HEC-RAS, TUFLOW, Civil 3D or 12D
