Civil Engineer

About the role

Aurecon is seeking an early‑career Civil Engineer to join its Buildings Civil team in Adelaide. You will work alongside experienced specialists on a variety of projects spanning health, education, defence, civic, commercial and community sectors, contributing to sustainable and innovative design solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in delivering civil engineering designs for building and infrastructure projects, covering site development, drainage, pavements and access design.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, drawings and specifications under senior guidance.
• Coordinate civil design outputs with structural, mechanical, electrical and architectural disciplines.
• Support project teams in identifying and resolving design challenges.
• Apply relevant standards, guidelines and engineering principles to ensure quality outcomes.
• Participate in project meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders.
• Contribute to achieving project delivery, quality and safety objectives.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of civil engineering experience, ideally within a consulting environment.
• Exposure to civil design for buildings, land development, precincts or infrastructure projects.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn from senior professionals.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) and eligibility for Engineers Australia membership.
